I am a changed person because of my Inter-Care experience. Our family communication has improved - we now realize that we will always support each other no matter what happens. I have learned that changing my own attitude will often open my eyes and ears. The Inter-Care experience helped me to realize that our three adult children love and respect each other and their parents and embrace our differences. My alcoholic daughter has been in the Inter-Care program for almost a year now. What I see today is a strong, amazing woman who has the confidence to move forward with her life. My heart soared when she told me she plans to return to school to get her degree and consider counseling as a career one day.
I want to thank you a thousand times over for last year's family
intervention. Our one-year anniversary is this weekend! You were so kind and loving to each family member no matter how angry or loving we became. You are a special person, Vince. Little did I know how much work it would be to take a look at myself and experience my own personal pain and maturity, or lack of it. I hope to think I am a better person today and will continue to work on my growth.
Our family remains closer due to our recovery.
